Answers on quotes, checkout, hours, and how work starts
This FAQ answers the questions buyers ask before they email: what the work is, who it is for, and how a quote is given. It is for digital agencies, WooCommerce and Shopify store owners, WordPress site owners, and small or medium businesses comparing a one-off project, monthly support, or white-label work.

Questions
Monthly retainer (100–200 hours a month): from $40/hour. Short tasks (a few hours): from $80/hour. Fixed-price projects: quoted per project, based on how technical and urgent the work is. Every engagement is quoted in writing before work starts. An AI agent for a small business is one defined job: it reads your pages, docs, or product data, follows the steps we agree, and stops when a person should take over. Email mani@manikhan.com with the job you want handled.
For agency projects, I work white-label under your agency's name. The work can be a website, a WooCommerce or Shopify store, an AI agent, or an automation. Mani Khan writes the code himself instead of passing the work to a broker. Discussion, planning, design, coding, testing, and launch are the same stages used on a direct project.
Yes, a WooCommerce or Shopify checkout fix covers the cart, the checkout, and the order path after payment. Turnaround is agreed in writing before work starts. The starting rates are listed on the pricing page. Email mani@manikhan.com with what the checkout does today.
I work with clients in the US, UK, Canada and Australia and agree on overlap hours at the start of each project. Mani Khan makes himself available so there are no long lag times in communication. My clients' success is my first priority.
A project starts when you email mani@manikhan.com or use the form on this site, and we discuss the goal before anything is built. Discussion identifies the content, the features, and the job to be done. Planning comes next, then design, coding, testing, and launch. You do not need a finished specification. The goal, the deadline, and what already exists are enough to begin.
The starting rates are listed on the pricing page. Send your project details for a written quote. Payment handling is part of that written quote, and it is set before coding starts. The engagement is a one-off project, monthly support, or white-label work. Email mani@manikhan.com with the job.
Projects are for digital agencies that need white-label development, WooCommerce and Shopify store owners, WordPress site owners, and small or medium businesses that want automation. Mani Khan is a full-stack developer freelancing since 2009. He writes the code himself.
Launch is where the work together starts, not where it ends. Monthly support is the engagement for work that continues after a site, store, agent, or automation is live. The starting rates are listed on the pricing page. Email mani@manikhan.com with what should keep running.

04 The recipe
Process
A question becomes a project through the same six stages as a build. You do not need a finished brief. The form asks for the goal, the deadline, and what already exists.
Step 01 — Discussion
We talk about the goals of the website. Once we know why you want a new site, we work together to identify the content it needs and the features it should have.
Step 02 — Planning
Once I understand your needs, I create a plan to design and develop the website to meet your specifications.
Step 03 — Design
Functionality matters, but good design makes a visitor want to stay. I work on the layout with responsiveness, a user-friendly experience and an aesthetically pleasing look in mind.
Step 04 — Coding
The most specialized stage. I pride myself on writing clean, organized code, so you have a highly functioning website for years to come.
Step 05 — Testing
I test the site internally first, then you test it on your end. Everything should work, and it should launch with no loading errors or bugs.
Step 06 — Launch
The site goes live on your domain for the world to see. I hope you'll come back to me for future updates and digital marketing.
After discussion, planning is a plan to meet your specifications. That plan is the deliverable of the second stage. Coding does not start until the engagement is agreed. The starting rates are listed above on this page.
